GENERAL INFORMATION ข้อมูลทั่วไป

The Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok (ATMBKK) is the biggest and most trendy road running race in Thailand and attracts more than 25,000 runners and over 75,000 spectators across the whole weekend. The race has established itself as the major running event on Thailand’s sporting calendar. Every first Sunday of February, thousands of runners from around the Asia regional will run past Bangkok’s iconic landmarks such as Victory Monument, Wat Benchamabophit Marble Temple, Ratchadamnoen Street (Thailand’s Champs-Elysees), Rama 8 Bridge, Golden Mountain Temple. Marathon runners also get to unforgettable memory as they get start from the biggest’s country sport stadium of Rajamangala National Stadium.

The course includes four (4) different routes for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km and 3.5km fun run.

In 2019 marks the 2nd anniversary the Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok and we are set to THE UNFORGETTABLE MARATHON with a Thai cultural food for runners at finish line, a 70 outlets of sporting goods expo, a charity fun run and a varieties of merchandise goods and a lot of entertainment activities for everyone to be a part of. The finish line will be taking place in one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bangkok, Democracy Monument (next to world famous night market street-Khao San road).

ไม่มีการแบ่งกลุ่มผู้แข่งขัน เป็นการเดิน-วิ่งเพื่อสุขภาพ และให้ทุกคนมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรม จะไม่มีการประลองความเร็วเพื่อรางวัลใดๆ

เวลาตัดตัว (Cut-Off Time)

ผู้แข่งขันในประเภทระยะมาราธอน, ฮาร์ฟมาราธอน และ 10 กม. จะได้รับบันทึกเวลาแข่งขัน โดยใช้ระบบอิเล็กโทรนิค Timing Chip เป็นอุปกรณ์จับเวลา โดยจะมีกำหนดเวลาในการแข่งขันของระยะต่างๆ (Cut-Off Time) ดังนี้

• ระยะมาราธอน ภายใน 7 ชั่วโมง หรือไม่เกิน 10:30** น. (สตาร์ดเวลา 03:00 น.) คำนวณจากผู้แข่งขันคนสุดท้ายออกตัว
• ระยะฮาร์ฟมาราธอน ภายใน 4 ชั่วโมง หรือไม่เกิน 07:30** น. (สตาร์ดเวลา 03.00 น.) คำนวณจากผู้แข่งขันคนสุดท้ายออกตัว
• ระยะ 10 กม. ภายใน 2 ชั่วโมง หรือไม่เกิน 07.50** น. (สตาร์ดเวลา 05.30 น.) คำนวณจากผู้แข่งขันคนสุดท้ายออกตัว

COURSE MAPS / เส้นทางแข่งขัน

The course includes four (4) different routes for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km and 3.5km fun run.

เส้นทางแข่งขันถูกออกแบบให้มีความโดดเด่น โดยทั้ง 4 เส้นทางนักวิ่งทุกท่านจะได้วิ่งผ่าน Landmark สำคัญๆ ของเมืองหลวงของประเทศ อาทิ ราชมังคลากีฬาสถาน อนุสาวรีย์ชัยสมรภูมิ พระบรมรูปทรงม้า สะพานพระรามแปด ภูเขาทอง และหลังจากที่ท่านฝ่าฟัน กับบททดสอบของร่างกายของตัวเองในการวิ่งแล้ว ท่านจะได้สัมผัสกับบรรยากาศในการต้อนรับอันแสนอบอุ่น จากน้องๆ อาสาสมัครกองเชียร์ที่คอยต้อนรับทุกท่านในช่วงกม.สุดท้าย บนถนนหลวงของกรุงเทพมหานคร อย่างถนนราชดำเนิน พร้อมกับฉากของเส้นชัยที่หาไม่ได้จากรายการวิ่งที่ไหนของประเทศไทย นั่นคือ อนุสาวรีย์ประชาธิปไตย ท่านจะได้ภาพแห่งความทรงจำที่จะประทับใจ ไม่รู้ลืม

• ประเภทระยะฮาร์ฟมาราธอน ได้รับถ้วยประจำการแข่งขัน สำหรับผู้ชนะเลิศ อันดับ 1-5 ของรุ่นทั่วไป, รุ่นคนไทยทั่วไป และรุ่นกลุ่มอายุทุกรุ่น ทั้งชายและหญิง

Rules and Regulations

1. General

o The Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok (“ATMBKK”) 2019 is hosted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (referred to herein as “TAT”) and organised by Amazing Thailand Marathon Committee ( “ATMBKKOC”) in accordance with these Rules and Regulations (the “R&Rs”) and all the terms and conditions (the “T&Cs”) applicable to the Participants, which can be found at www.amazingthailandmarathon.com (the “Official Website”).By continuing to use ATMBKK’s services, accessing any part of the website amazingthailandmarathon2019.com, registering for the ATMBKK, submitting information to ATMBKK (and/ or its related entities) whether for the purpose of registering for the ATMBKK or otherwise, or using any features of the aforementioned website, you signify that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the Privacy Policy set forth below (as amended from time to time) in respect of ATMBKK’s collection, use and disclosure of your personal information. Further, you hereby expressly agree and consent to ATMBKK’s (including its related entities, as well as their respective agents’), collection, use and disclosure of your personal information, in the manner set forth in the aforementioned Policy. Completion of the online registration form confirms the Participant’s agreement to abide by these R&Rs. Registration for the race is only confirmed upon payment and issuance of a race identification number. The Participant agrees to: (i) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about the Participant contained in the registration form (the “Personal Information”); (ii) maintain the security of the Participant’s password and identification; and (iii) maintain and promptly update of Personal Information to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. ATMBKK may contact the Participant from time to time by email. Any notice sent to the email address registered with ATMBKK shall be deemed as received by the Participant. If the Participant provides any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or if ATMBKK has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, ATMBKK may suspend or terminate the Participant’s registration and refuse Participants any and all future use of the Official Website (or any parts thereof).No changes to registration details are permitted once registration is completed. (exceptions may only be made for crucial details, e.g. Emergency contact person) ATMBKK reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these R&Rs and/or T&Cs from time to time as ATMBKK deems fit. If there is ambiguity in any of these provisions, ATMBKK shall be the authority to interpret these provisions and in so doing, ATMBKK will take into account the interests of all the affected Participants. Any amendments to these R&Rs and/or T&Cs will be updated on the Official Website. ATMBKK reserve the right to cancel the ATMBKK 2019 at any time without prior notice to the Participant, in which case they will make reasonable effort to inform the Participant prior to the date of the event. If the ATMBKK 2019 is cancelled, there shall be no refund of fees paid. None of ATMBKK, TAT, Event Sponsors or Co-Sponsors shall be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused. ATMBKK reserves the right to amend the ATMBKK 2019 race routes as ATMBKK deems fit for the safety of the Participant and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the event, at any time without prior notice to the Participant. In such cases, every effort will be made to inform the Participant prior to the day / date of the event. None of TAT, ATMBKK, Event Sponsors or Co-Sponsors shall be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused.

2. Safety and other precautions

Whilst reasonable precautions will be taken by ATMBKK to ensure the Participants’ safety, the Participant takes part in ATMBKK 2019 and its fringe activities (pacer runs, workshops, clinics or any other activity related to ATMBKK) at his or her own risk. To the fullest extent permissible by law, none of TAT, ATMBKK, Event Sponsors or Co-Sponsors will be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising from training for or during participation in ATMBKK 2019. The Participant is strongly encouraged to consult his or her medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual race day.

A Participant must retire from the race immediately if required to do so by any member of the official medical staff, race director, referee and/or security officer (collectively, “Staff”) for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to the reasons stated in these rules and regulations. The decision of any such Staff member is final.

3. Race

The form on the reverse side of the Participant’s race bib must be fully and accurately completed. Participant must attach the assigned bib on the front of his/her running attire. Participant not wearing a bib will be taken off the race route by security officers or route marshals. Participant may be required to start from different start pens based on his/her estimated time of completion. Participant is to assemble in his/her respective start pens that are reflected on his/her bib. Pets, bicycles, in-line skates, prams, push carts, shoes with built-in or attached rollers and any other wheel-run objects are not allowed on the race route. The only exception to this rule is for the 10km Wheelchair categories, where adapted sport wheelchairs are allowed. Only official race and medical vehicles are allowed on the race route. ATMBKK reserves the right to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records (including those displaying the Participant) of the ATMBKK 2019, for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising, and the Participant hereby consents to any and all such use. ATMBKK reserves the right to limit and/or refuse race entries without assigning any reason. ATMBKK reserves the right to cancel any race category without prior notice to the Participants. ATMBKK will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete entry details.

4. Cancellation

After registration, there will be no fee refund for a Participant who does not eventually take part in the ATMBKK 2019, for any reason whatsoever. A Participant is strictly not allowed to transfer his or her race entry to another party. Any Participant who commences before the actual start time of the race category for which he or she is registered will be disqualified. The start time for the respective race categories can be found on the Official Website. A Participant who does not start within the time given from his or her respective flag off point (Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km) will be disqualified and, for safety reasons, may not be allowed to start.

5. Age Requirements

A Participant must be 18 years and above on event date to participate in the Marathon. A Participant must be 16 years and above on event date to participate in the Half Marathon – 21.1km. A Participant must be 14 years and above on event date to participate in the 10km race. Any Participant below the age of 18 on event date is required to seek parental/guardian consent and complete the relevant indemnity and declaration forms when registering online or in-person, failing which ATMBKK reserves the right to refuse entry to that Participant.

6. Baggage Deposit

ATMBKK will not be responsible for any loss and/or damage, personal or otherwise, to the belongings and items deposited at the event baggage storage facility. ATMBKK also reserves the right to open and examine any item or baggage deposited for security purposes.

7. Cut-off Time and DNF (Did Not Finish)

Participants must complete their respective race categories (which they registered for) within the following cut-off times; otherwise they will be deemed disqualified. (‘DNF’)

– Full Marathon (42.195KM) – 7 hours 00 minute after last flag off

– Half Marathon (21.1KM) – 4 hours 00 minute after last flag off

– 10KM – 2 hours 00 minute after last flag off

– Family Fun Run – 1 hours 00 minute after last flag off

Note: There might be staggered cut-off times at selected sections of the race route. Details of these cut off points will be released closer to race day. For participants’ safety and to avoid being caught in between live traffic, participants must obey as instructed, or they will be pulled off the race course immediately.

Race timings will not be issued to the diverted Participants (“Did Not Finish” would be indicated in the timing issued). They will not be issued an e-Certificate of Participation and their results will show as ‘DNF’ status. Finisher’s T-shirts (only applicable for the Marathon) and medals will NOT be issued to diverted Participants (“Did Not Finish”).

8. Race Categories

Participants can choose to participate as an individual. The race categories for individual participation are as follows:

Marathon – 42.195km: Male’s Open, Female’s Open, Male’s Age-Groups, Female’s Age-Groups

Half Marathon – 21.1km: Male’s Open, Female’s Open, Male’s Age-Groups, Female’s Age-Groups

10km – Male’s Open, Female’s Open, Male’s Age-Groups, Female’s Age-Groups

9. Family Fun Run

The Rules for the Family Fun Run:

The Family Fun Run is non-competitive, therefore, no timing device will be issued and no official timing will be recorded or provided.

Participants must be 5 years and above on event date to participate in the Family Fun Run. Parents or guardians of the Participants of the Family Fun Run must complete the indemnity and declaration form in the online registration form, failing which ATMBKK reserves the right to refuse entry to any Participant. Each participant of the family fun run must purchase an entry (no bib will be provided for parents or guardians of kids running the Family fun run).

10. Prize Money

Each Participant is allowed only one prize-money award. A winning Participant may elect to receive an award in another prize category to which he or she is entitled to, which might offer a higher prize-money. Notwithstanding the Participant’s election, his or her finishing position in each of the relevant prize categories will not change. ATMBKK reserves the right to replace any winner if he or she is found to be disqualified. Collection of Prize Money will only be processed after the submission of Winner’s Information for Prize Money Form and a copy of Participant’s Passport or Photo ID. In the event form submission is incomplete, participant would have to re-submit, and ATMBKK reserves the right to refuse incomplete forms. All prizes not claimed within one (1) month from submission of Winner’s Information for Prize Money Form will be forfeited and ATMBKK will be at liberty to redistribute or dispose of them accordingly. Prizes must be taken, in the forms as presented by ATMBKK. They are not transferable or exchangeable for cash and are subjected to the R&Rs and/or T&Cs as determined by ATMBKK. The “Gun Time” will be considered to determine the winners for all categories. The individual prizes for the Marathon – 42.195km are: Male’s Open, Female’s Open, Male’s Age-Groups, Female’s Age-Groups.

The individual prizes for Half Marathon – 21.1km are: Male’s Open, Female’s Open, Male’s Age-Groups, Female’s Age-Groups.

The individual prizes for 10km are: Male’s Open, Female’s Open, Male’s Age-Groups, Female’s Age-Groups.

*Only Participants who are Thai Nationals, are eligible to compete for Thai categories. Participants who are Permanent Residents of Thailand are eligible to compete as the Men’s Open/Women’s Open.

Prizes will not be awarded for Family Fun Run as it is a non-competitive race. For prize winners or possible prize winners, appeals of disputes must be made on-site in person, in a written format with an appeal fee of USD100, within 30 minutes of the published results on the results notice board on-site or immediately after the prize presentation, whichever is earlier. For all other Participants, appeals over disputes regarding the results must be submitted in a written format with an appeal fee of USD100, including electronic mail within 7 days of race day. ATMBKK reserves the right not to entertain any appeals after 11 February 2019. 11. Race Entry Pack Collection (‘REPC’)

All Participants must collect their race entry pack (the “Race Entry Pack”) which includes the race bib, timing device (attached to the race bib), and other novelties at the Race Entry Pack Collection location (“REPC”) during the collection period (“Collection Period”), of which details will be stated on the Official Website. If Participants are unable to collect their Race Entry Pack in person, they may empower a duly authorised representative in accordance with the procedure detailed on the Official Website. There will be no collection of race packs out of the stipulated Collection Period. Late collection will not be entertained and ATMBKK shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused, due to Participant’s inability to collect his/her Race Entry Pack, for any reason whatsoever. For avoidance of doubt, ATMBKK is not obliged to extend the collection period or to ensure that a Participant receives his or her Race Entry Pack. At all times, it is the responsibility of the Participant to collect his or her Race Entry Pack during the Collection Period. Race Entry Packs not collected during the Collection Period will be deemed to be unwanted, and ATMBKK shall be at liberty to dispose or re-distribute them accordingly.

12. Runner’s Entitlement

Running apparel sizes are strictly non-exchangeable. Participants are advised to check the running apparel size chart provided on the registration form before choosing their preferred sizing. All Participants who successfully complete the race in their chosen race category will be awarded a Finisher’s Medal upon presenting their race bib to the respective officials at the Athletes Welfare Area (located at the finishing point). A Marathon participant will only be able to collect his or her Finisher’s T-shirt upon successful completion of the run on race day. The Finisher’s T-shirt size is subject to availability and issued on a first-come-first-served basis to a Marathon. In the event that the preferred size is no longer available, the next best size will be given and no exchange is available during or after the event. Running apparel sizes chosen during registration is not indicative of size availability of the Finisher’s T-shirt on-site on event day. All Finisher’s Medals and T-shirts are to be collected on the race day. No requests thereafter will be entertained. All Participants who successfully complete the race in their chosen race category will be awarded an Electronic-certificate of Participation. The e-Certificate of Participation will be made available on the official website from 12pm, 7 February 2019. This entitlement will not apply to Participants who are unable to complete the race within their respective cut-off time, (disqualified or did not complete the race). 13. CHANGE OF RUNNING CATEGORY

Individual Participants ONLY: Upgrade of running category

Participants are able to change their running category until 31 December 2018, 23:59hrs. No change of running category is allowed after 31 December 2018, 23:59hrs. A fee will be charged, comprising of the difference between the current prevailing rate of the preferred running category, and the price paid for the original registration, and an additional THB100 admin charge. Upgrade of running category is unavailable in to sold out events.

o Downgrade of running category

Participants are able to change their running category until 31 December 2018, 23:59hrs. No change of running category is allowed 31 December 2018, 23:59hrs. The difference in pricing between the original registration and preferred running category will NOT be refunded. Downgrade of running category is unavailable in to sold out events.

Bulk/Group Participants ONLY: Please email us at amazingthailandmarathon2019@gmail.com for more information or queries. Slots for the Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10KM running categories are subject to current availability. Individual participants who change their running category after 31 December 2018, 23:59hrs will not receive personalized bibs. An individual participant is allowed to change his/her running category once. Multiple changes are not allowed.

14. PRIVACY POLICY

CONSENT

By continuing to use ATMBKK’s services, accessing any part of the website amazingthailandmarathon.com, registering for the ATMBKK, submitting information to ATMBKK (and/ or its related entities) whether for the purpose of registering for the ATMBKK or otherwise, as well as using any features of the aforementioned website, you signify that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by this Policy (as amended from time to time) in respect of ATMBKK’s collection, use and disclosure of your personal information. For example, the credit card number, the debit card number, the name of the card holder, the card number, the billing address, and the expiration date of the credit/ debit card;The Participant’s health information. Statistical Data

This includes the following:

For the avoidance of doubt, Statistical data is stored purely for analytical purposes, and is entirely anonymous. Statistical data will not be tied to the Participant record, and will only be aggregated for statistical analysis so that ATMBKK can better understand the Participant’s profile and improve the service offering.

ATMBKK will, upon receipt of your aforementioned written request, allow you to view your stored personal information. There are 2 ways to register

2. What am I entitled to as a participant?

3. What are the difference of Open category and Age group category?
The difference between Open category and Age group category are about when you register as an Age group category you will not have a name in Open category, which is the prize are difference.

5. How do I know if I successfully registered?
Once successfully registered, you will receive confirmation slip and receipt to the email address used during the registration process.

6. I have signed up and made payment but why did I not receive my confirmation slip?
There are a number of reasons you may not have received your confirmation slip:
– It could be in your spam/junk folder.
– Your registration was unsuccessful.
– The email address that you entered at the point of registration is incorrect.
Please email in to amazingthailandmarathon2019@gmail.com providing the email address that you used during the registration process, to check your registration status.

7. Can I make any changes to my particulars after submitting my registration?
Yes, please email in to amazingthailandmarathon2019@gmail.com to make changes to your particulars before 31 December 2018

8. Can I transfer my race entry to someone else?
All race registrations are strictly non-transferable.

9. Can I change my race category after signing up?
All race registrations are strictly non-changeable.

10. Am I allowed to change my t-shirt size?
T-shirt sizes can be changed up to 31 December 2018 only, subject to availability of the requested size. After this date, no changes in t-shirt size will be accepted. Please select your t-shirt size appropriately during the registration process.

11. Can I get refund once I have signed up?
All race registrations are strictly non-refundable.

12. When is the last date to register?
16 January 2019, unless sold out prior. In case there is an available slot after 16 January 2019 the bib will not be personalized and the singlet is subject to availability.

13. Where and when is the Race Entry Pack Collection?
REPC will be held at the Airport Rail Link – Makkasan Station, Bangkok.
Thursday 31st January 2019: 11:00pm – 8:00pm
Friday 1st February 2019: 11:00am – 8:00pm
Saturday 2nd February 2019: 11:00am – 7:00pm
(NO POSTAL MAIL SERVICE)
And What do I need to bring to collect my race pack?
– Confirmation Slip
– Id card / Passport (both hard and soft copies are accepted)

14. Can someone collect on my behalf and how many race packs can someone collect on behalf?
Whilst we encourage all participants to collect their race pack during the Amazing Thailand Marathon 2019 REPC and Expo, we understand this is not always possible. If you cannot collect your race pack in person you may nominate someone to collect on your behalf
– Your nominee needs to provide a copy of your identification (Id card/Passport).
– Your nominee needs to provide a copy of your Confirmation slip.
– Your nominee will also need to provide their own identification when collecting the race pack.

15. I am an overseas runner and will only reach on race day. Can I still collect my race pack?
Unfortunately, you can only collect the race pack within the race pack collection period. Please ensure you arrange your travel appropriately to collect your race pack in the advertised hours.

– 21.1 K. half marathon 03:00 am. Rajamangala Stadium, Huamark to Democracy Monument, Rachadamnoen Road. 10 K. mini marathon 05:35 am. Loha Prasart (Near Golden Mountain), Rachadamnoen Road to Democracy Monument, Rachadamnoen Road.
– 3.5 Family run 06:10 am. Loha Prasart (Near Golden Mountain), Rachadamnoen Road to Democracy Monument, Rachadamnoen Road.

18. What is the flag off time?
– 42 K. marathon 03:00 am.
– 21.1 K. half marathon 03:00 am.
– 10 K. mini marathon 05:35 am.
– 3.5 Family run 06:10 am.

19. What is the cut off time for the race?
– 42 K. marathon 10:00 am. (7hours)
– 21 K. half marathon 07:00 am. (4hours)
– 10 K. mini marathon 07:35 am. (2hours)
– 3.5 K. Family run 07:10 am. (1hours)

21. Will I get race timing?
Yes, there will be a timing chip for all categories except Family Run.

22. Is there any bag deposit and where can I deposit?
Yes. You may deposit your bag at the Start area for each category.

23. Is there any requirement for bag deposit?
Yes. You must use the race pack provided to you at REPC, with your bag sticker applied to the drawstring if you would like to deposit your items. No other bags will be accepted.

24. How do I know which block start am I in?
Your block start printed beside your bib number indicates the pen that you are in. This is determined from your predicted finish time selected during the registration process.

25. What happens if I have yet to complete the race after the respective category’s cut off mark?
Unfortunately, you will not be entitled to a finisher medal, finisher tee-shirt and finisher certificate.

26. Will I get a finisher medal and shirt if I not complete the run?
You will only receive a medal when you complete the run before the cut off time.

27. Will there be a refund made if the race is called off due to bad weather?
No refund will be made if the race is cancelled due to bad weather or unforeseen circumstances.

28. Is there any shuttle service?
– 42K. and 21K. Free shuttle service from Makkasan Airport Link Station to Rajamangala Stadium from midnight till 2.30am.
– 10K. and 3.5K. Free shuttle service from Makkasan Airport Link Station to Loha Prasart from 2am. till 5.00am

29. Is there any parking lot?
The parking lots are at (TBC)

30. When should I be there on race day?
You should be there before starting at least one hour.
